Veteran Care Finder aims to be usable with keyboard navigation, screen readers, and modern browsers. We follow WCAG 2.2 Level AA as a design target for interactive search, results, and facility profiles.

What we support

Primary flows use semantic headings, labeled form controls, visible focus states, and text alternatives for meaningful icons. Map views include list-based alternatives so location results remain available without relying only on the map canvas.

Known limitations

Interactive maps may have incomplete screen-reader announcements depending on browser and assistive technology. Some third-party map tiles and embedded media are outside our direct control. Complex facility detail layouts continue to be refined for denser content.
